Client Brief:

The site posed unique challenges, including spatial constraints and budget considerations, leading to the innovative use of shipping containers for both cost efficiency and aesthetic appeal. Inspired by the charm of Somerset’s cider farms and the relaxed vibe of the Aussie backyard, the design seeks to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that resonates with the local community.

The design introduces an inviting street and laneway that promote foot traffic and foster a sense of community. This feature enhances accessibility and encourages social interaction, making The Yard a bustling destination for patrons.
