THE RSM STAIR REFURBISHMENT | IMPERIAL COLLEGE, LONDON, UK

Designed at Sheppard Robson

THE RSM Stair refurbishment was one of a number of phased developments of the Royal School of Mines which included the internal and external refurbishment of cross-departmental and public elements of the Grade II listed building. The intention was to re-establish the Main Stair as a focal point for the RSM. The concept was to remove the build up of unsightly features which had accumulated over the years, such as surface mounted power cables and defunct lights and revamp the outdated and unsightly entrance area to create a more welcoming and sociable space.
