RANDWICK HOUSE II |  CLOVELLY RD. RANDWICK | SYDNEY

Randwick House II

A practical and spacious redesign of a semi-detached home, creating a bright and comfortable family space with an emphasis on privacy and usability.

Randwick House II expands a modest three-bedroom, single-story home into a generous and versatile family residence. The design introduces a second-story addition with innovative use of space and light. A central staircase becomes a striking architectural feature, serving as both a visual anchor and a functional light well, drawing natural light into the heart of the home while maintaining privacy from the adjacent apartment building. This thoughtful intervention blends utility and aesthetics, creating a comfortable and private haven for family living.

Client Brief:

The client sought a larger home to accommodate a growing family and the flexibility for extended family stays. A dedicated home office and connection to the outdoor garden for dining were key priorities. The design needed to ensure optimal light and ventilation while addressing privacy challenges posed by the neighboring apartment block.
