PALM BEACH HOUSE | PALM BEACH, SYDNEY

A contemporary addition to a beachside family home situated in Palm Beach. The off-form concrete of the new addition is intended to echo the existing traditional timber weatherboard and blend into the natural rocky setting.

To maintain the natural landscape  within the site we decided to house the new pool, terrace, changing rooms and man-cave within the existing  footprint of the building.  This allowed us to connect the entrance foyer, lounge and kitchen via a new main stair giving direct access to the terrace and pool below.

The strategic positioning  of the new addition manages to capture and frame the spectacular views of Pittwater whilst providing a semi covered living space protecting the residents from the elements.

The project has just been given council approval and is due to start on site next spring.
